Overview
This month more than 14 million people attended the Korean cinemas, sales reach $ 98 million dollars. Korean Films gather most of the public (70%) with more than 10 million admissions and sales reach over $70 million. On the other hand Foreign Films it was watched by 4 million and gather $28 million in sales.
If we compared the data from the same month but from last year we can see that there was a small variation (-3.36%) regarding the total number of admissions. The big change can be seen in the distribution of the public, 70% of the audience went to watch Korean Films. We have remember that in November 2014 “Interstellar” was released and took most of the audience. But this time things were very different two Korean movies “The Priests” and “Inside Men” were able to get most of the audience (57%). This despite the release of “Spectre” and “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2”.

Most Watched Films
This month the most watched movies were: “The Priests” (OPUS Pictures) directed by Jang Jae-hyun with 4.9 million admissions, “The Inside Men” (Showbox) by Woo Min-ho with 3.7 million, “Spectre” (US, UK) by Sam Mendes with 1.7 million, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2” by Francis Lawrence with 690 thousands, and “Fatal Intuition” (FINECUT) with Jeong Gi-hun with 590 thousands.
