Peter Chan will direct autobiographic movie about Li Na


Li Na ( 李娜) considered as one of the best Asian tennis player will have an autobiographical movie. The film will be produced and directed by the well-known Chinese director Peter Chan.

With a career record in singles of 503 victories and 188 defeats (72,79%) Li Na is the most decorated Asian tennis player of all time. During her career she won nine WTA titles including two Grand Slams in singles. In 2011 she won the French Open at the age of twenty-nine, and became the first Asian player to win a Grand Slam in singles. Later on 2014 she won the Australian Open. Also she got the 4th place at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. She got to the second place in the WTA rankings on February 17th 2014. After her retirement she wrote a book where she talk about her private life and how hard was her training.

Having in mind this book, Peter Chan announced that he will take her story to the big screen. Na will also be working with the production team as a consultant. The film will start shooting in mid-September and will be premiere in 2016.
